Foundation of Virtouskarma International Buddhist Association

In 1949, Master Miaofeng established the Virtouskarma International Buddhist Association in the serene landscapes of California, USA. The association became a beacon of Buddhist teachings and spiritual enlightenment, dedicated to spreading the light of Dharma across the world.

Honorary President Master Hsing Yun

In March 1989, during his visit to the United States, Master Hsing Yun joined the Virtouskarma International Buddhist Association as the honorary president, bringing his wisdom and influence to the growing global community.

Leadership of MASARU KASAI

In 2009, Zen Master Matsubara Taito's disciple, MASARU KASAI, assumed the role of president of the Virtouskarma International Buddhist Association. Under his leadership, the association evolved into a global network dedicated to sharing the timeless wisdom of Buddhism.

2009

Expansion into Southeast Asia

In 2020, MASARU KASAI was invited by renowned Vietnamese Buddhist leader Thich Phap Hoa to explore the rich Buddhist traditions of Vietnam. Inspired by the local faith and unique Mahayana culture, KASAI established the Virtouskarma Southeast Asia Branch, marking a significant milestone in the mission to spread the light of Dharma to every corner of the globe.
